Donald Trump, facts and myths

High IQ, Business Genius, or Lyar, Fraudulent Narcissist?

He claims to have a very high IQ

Donald Trump souffle

He claims to have an IQ of 156, which would put him pretty close to Einstein who had an IQ of 160. He bases this claim on the fact that he studied economics at Welton and the students admitted to the University have an average IQ of 156.

Fact: He never took the entrance exam to Wharton, he entered Fordham University with the help of his uncle and again thanks to his family connections was able to transfer to Wharton, a prestigious university. One of his professors at Wharton described him as the stupidest student he ever had. (Source)
He obtained a graduate degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree. For comparison, Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) has a Master's degree (bachelor's degree + 2).
If we evaluate his IQ according to his tweets, it would be rather below average.
Here's an example of him responding to Tim Walz who said he found him and Vance weird, a response along the lines of it's not me, it's you:

There's something weird about this guy (Tim Walz). He's a weird guy. JD (Vance) isn't weird. He's a solid rock. I happen to be a very solid rock. We're not weird. We may be other things, but we're not weird.

He went bankrupt six times

He presents himself as a genius and his followers often repeat that he is a financial genius.

All his activities revolve around real estate, a field where you only need money to invest and which requires no skills but only connections. Despite everything, he managed to bankrupt a casino and hotels in Atlantic City and New York between 1991 and 2009:

According to Mary Trump, for a time the banks had to pay him a monthly allowance to allow him to live.

He was a friend of Epstein

Many photos show him with Epstein and his recruiter Ghislaine Maxwell.
In 2008 Epstein was already the subject of an investigation for trafficking minors. A deal was signed with prosecutor Alex Acosta and his lawyer Alan Dershowitz, which let him go free. When Trump became president, Alex Dacota was appointed Secretary of Labor. And Alan Dershowitz became one of his lawyers during his impeachment trial.

In a 2002 interview with the New York Times he said:

"I've known Jeff for 15 years. He's a great guy. He's a lot of fun to hang out with. They say he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and most of them are pretty young. There's no doubt about it: Jeffrey enjoys his social life."

He was convicted of rape

He bragged in a video that can be seen about taking women by force.

His first wife complained that he raped her in her divorce filing. Mary Trump who wrote a book about Trump says that his wife recommended a surgeon to implant him hair, but it was very painful. In revenge he tore out a handful of his wife's hair before raping her.
He was convicted of sexual assault against E. Jean Carroll, a journalist.
18 women have accused him of sexual assault.

He believes doctors are incompetent and has his solution against COVID

In a speech during COVID, he suggested drinking bleach to kill the virus and be instantly cured. But he was careful not to use this remedy himself.
In fact, ingesting bleach puts you straight in the emergency room.

He blocked an anti-immigration law

The bulk of his election campaign is based on legal or illegal immigration. However, Mitt Rowney, a Republican elected official, claims that when the Democrats proposed a law to control and reduce immigration, Trump called all Republican senators to ask them to vote against it, which they did. This allows him to continue to complain that immigration is out of control with the Democrats and that him only will be able to reduce it if he is elected...

Tried to trade aid to Ukraine for aid to his campaign (first impeachment)

A first impeachment passed by the House of Representatives, but blocked by the Republican-majority Senate, took place in 2019. He is accused of having withheld aid to Ukraine and asking President Zelensky to launch an investigation against Joe Biden, after which the aid would be provided. Zelensky refused to give in to blackmail.

Attempted a coup and incited the mob against his vice president (second impeachment)

A second impeachment was passed by the House of Representatives in 2021 and again blocked by the Senate.
He is accused of trying to change the election result that went in favor of Joe Biden.

He encouraged the mob to invade the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying the election result. He then congratulated the rioters by telling them "I love you. You are truly special" before finally asking them to go home.

After Vice President Mike Pence certified the result as required by the Constitution, the crowd chanted "Hang Mike Pence!" According to the investigative report, an official rushed to Trump to inform him of this, hoping he would take action, but he only said: "So what?"

He interrupts a speech to rant about flies

This is during a campaign speech to a crowd of his supporters in 2024

"I don't like flies. Get out of here, fly," he says. "I've never been a big fan of flies. You don't mind me talking about them, do you? Anyway, this is a very aggressive fly. This one in particular is very aggressive. Like I'm going to be aggressive for our country."
