Comparison of full-frame lenses

Scores of the most popular lenses when it comes to their resolution capacity.

In the previous article, we saw the best resolution scores for popular APS-C lenses. Here we give the results for full-frame lenses. Here too these are very partial results, refer to the sites for the complete results.

We can guess that these tests are performed indoors when the ISO sensitivity goes up to 6400 or more. Under these conditions, the full-frame sensor offers an advantage at the same apertures and therefore results in MTF tests better than on APS-C.

Over time the tests are carried out on more and more capable devices, with better sensors, so recent scores are better than scores obtained longer ago, for the same goal.
