Croustade of strawberries


French pastry made of puff pastry that puts strawberries under a crust. Common in south-western France

These puff pastry may be filled with fruits or meat.
Almond powder is an option to improve the taste. The sugar is preferably of brown cane sugar.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry: 50g
  • Strawberry: 100g
  • Almond: 30g
  • Butter: 10g
  • Sugar: 15g

Ustensiles

    Oven.
    Pie plate.

Preparation


    Butter the pan.
    Line puff pastry but keep some a part of the dough.
    Mix the almond powder and sugar.
    Cover the dough with the mixture.
    Add the strawberries cutted into pieces.
    Remaining part of the unused dough is cut into strips.
    Cover the pie with it.
    Bake at 200 degrees

Serve


    Cold or hot.
