Rice with mushrooms


Almost a complete meal, without fat, for a vegetarian or low-fat diet.

By combining mushroom, which provide protein, and rice (preferably brown), which adds carbohydrates, you get a complete meal with virtually no fat.
For the spice you may choose saffron or curry. Count half a bouillon cube per person at most. Do not add salt if using a cube. We can add white wine to cook the rice first, as in a risotto.

Ingredients

  • Rice: 25g
  • Mushroom: 50g
  • Onion: 25g
  • Broth: 25g
  • Oil: 2g
  • Curry: 1g

    Saucepan.

Preparation


    Cut into slices onion and mushrooms.
    Cook over low heat in a saucepan.
    Bring water to a boil and add the rice.
    Let boil 5 minutes and drain the water.
    Add the rice to the garnish.
    Cook gently without to grill for a few minutes.
    Add broth or water with a cube.
    Add spices.
    Add salt only if the broth is not.
    Cook covered 20 minutes. The cooking time depends on the type of rice.

Serve


    Warm.
    It is a complete meal, not an accompaniment.
